Angel's Story

Meet Angel. She was left in an abandoned, trash filled house...with a muzzle. She couldn't eat or even ask for help. Thankfully we received a tip, forced entry into the house and got Angel the help she needed so very desperately. She still needs to gain some weight back, but she is in good spirits. She is a very friendly and gentle dog. The hard part for Angel is over. Now she just needs a special family to show her the love and care she's been missing out on. She deserves it. Angel is approximately 9 years old and 30 pounds (she still needs to gain some weight)

Meigs County Dog Shelter's Adoption Policy
We want to make sure our adoptions are a forever home for the canines. The application for adoption is done in person, after spending time with the dog. Upon adoption, age appropriate, spay and neuter is a requirement with our local vet. Our staff is also available to help with questions and follow up after adoption. We want the adoption experience to be a positive one for both adopter and canine.
