Angel's Story
Angel is back. This poor girl was just adopted 4 months ago, and now her new mommy has been in the hospital for weeks and can no longer walk, needing surgery and long term rehab. She now needs a new home again! Read her BIO Below and let us know via EMAIL or Adoption App if you are interested in adopting Angel
___________________________________________
Angel is a sweet, people-loving senior girl with a young spirit! Friendly, smart, quiet, and affectionate, she enjoys walks, yard sniffing, toys, and being near her humans. She gets along with other dogs but doesn’t interact much ... basically ignores them— she much prefers people. She is a healthy senior, vet checked. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines and weights 17 lbs (she can stand to loose a couple lbs) LOL.

Angel likely lived a pampered life and may beg or bark for table food; She responds well to consistent, gentle guidance. Overall, she listens, though she can be a bit stubborn.

Quirks to note:
• Toy/Food possessive: She gets anxious and will growl if another dog approaches her toys or food while she’s eating. If you have another dog, best to feed them in different rooms so this will not be a problem. She can also (in the beginning) growl or nip at a person if they try to take something away from her or pick something up too quickly that is near her. Best for the first month or so to go slow till she is confident that you mean her no harm

• She doesn’t like being picked up from the ground without warning: She growls as a warning if lifted in a way she dislikes, but is okay being helped on her terms (quick scoops, jumping into car or onto couch with assistance when she wants).

Angel may have a past reason for her dislike of being lifted, but with understanding and respect of her boundaries, she is a loving, happy companion with lots of affection to give. She’s truly a wonderful girl ready to bond with her forever people if you give her the time!

Won’t you give this wonderful, loving little girl a home to live her golden years with comfort and companionship.

If you are interested in adopting Angel, please fill out an application at this link: https://bichonrescuenj.com/bichon-frise-rescue-nnj-adoption-app.html

If you have already filled out our application, please EMAIL me with the email you used in your app and I will look it up.

Angel is currently in Northern New Jersey. Applicant's should live within 3 hours drive of there and be willing to drive to pick her up.
