Angel's Story
Meet Angel — a gentle soul still waiting for her miracle
Angel is just a baby herself—only 112 years old—and already she has known abandonment, fear, and heartbreak.
This beautiful girl was picked up by animal control in Harris County, Texas after being left to fend for herself on the unforgiving streets. Cold pavement. Hunger. Confusion. When strangers finally approached her, Angel thought she was being rescued. And in a way, she was... but instead, she found herself in a severely overpopulated shelter, where time is not measured in days lived, but in days left.
Despite everything she has endured, Angel’s heart is still soft.
She is incredibly sweet, though understandably cautious. She leans into gentle pets and welcomes affection, but there is still a hint of worry behind her eyes—wondering if the kindness will disappear like it has before. Angel needs a calm, patient home that will allow her to build trust at her own pace and show her that not all humans bring fear or leave without returning. Because of her current wariness, Angel would not be recommended for a home with small children, as sudden movements and noise can be overwhelming for her while she continues to learn she is safe.
Angel walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys quiet companionship, and weighs just 36 pounds—perfect for snuggling close once she feels secure. In her kennel, she does guard her food bowl, which is believed to be stress-related and rooted in survival, not aggression. With consistency, understanding, and love, this behavior can improve as she settles into a stable environment.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative—healthy, young, and ready for a fresh start.
What Angel doesn’t need is more time behind kennel bars.
What she needs is someone.
Someone who will choose patience over pressure.
Someone who will promise her she is finally home.
Someone who will never abandon her again.
Can you be the one to give Angel the forever she deserves—and help her learn that love can be safe, reliable, and real?

Could that family be you?
Adoption fee: $450
Includes transport to the Midwest, Northeast, or Southeast.

https://hoardinhuskies.net/dog-adoption/
