ANDY's Story

From Stray to Stay — Andy Is Looking for Love! Sweet little Andy came to us as a stray after his finder noticed him roaming the neighborhood for several days. After searching the area for an owner with no success and being unable to bring him to the shelter, our Animal Control Officer responded and brought him in safely in hopes of finding his family. With no microchip and no ID tag, there was unfortunately no way to contact a possible previous owner, and no one ever came to claim him. Andy is a super sweet boy who doesn’t mind being held—don’t ask us how we know! This little guy is looking for a home to call his own and a family who will keep him safe so he never has to wander again. If you’re looking for a loving companion, please come meet Andy in person. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children before adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone. All of our adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Adopters will need to establish veterinary care after adoption to maintain their new family member’s health and wellness. And remember the 3 3 3 Rule when adopting a shelter pet: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to settle in 3 months to build trust Andy’s adoption fee is $80. We are first come, first served and adoption is in person only. Visit us at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville. Adoption hours: Monday–Friday 12–5pm Saturday 11am–2pm Andy / A317621: 1 year old, 11.20 lbs, neutered male #adoptfromicas #myicasrescue
