She has shown possessive behaviors around food and high-value items and may be food aggressive, so she will need an adopter who understands resource guarding and can provide appropriate management and training.<br/><br/>Andrea would likely do best as the only pet in the home. She has not done well with female dogs during playgroups or introductions and has a strong prey drive, making a home with cats or other small animals unsuitable.<br/><br/>If you're looking for an energetic, affectionate young dog and are prepared to help her continue learning and growing, Andrea may be the perfect match!<br/><br/>At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals! <br/>We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals.
