Ancho's Story

Ancho is a very large dog with an equally large personality looking for an experienced home that can help him be the best version of himself. This handsome guy is full of potential, but he'll need a committed adopter who understands big dogs and is prepared to provide structure, consistency, and continued guidance.

Ancho truly is a great dog! He's incredibly loyal to his people and absolutely loves going on walks. Exploring the neighborhood, stretching his legs, and spending time outdoors are some of his favorite things, and continuing an active routine will be an important part of keeping him both happy and healthy. Also, he'd love to taste that squirrel he just saw run up a tree...

Ancho is currently working on losing some weight, so his future family should be ready to help him stay active and stick to a routine that supports his wellness journey.

Ancho has done well with other large dogs on our weekly hikes, but would not be appropriate for a home with small dogs or cats.

While Ancho is not the right fit for every home, the people willing to invest in him will gain a devoted companion who just wants understanding, guidance, and a chance to thrive. Apply to meet him at www.sfcva.org!
