Amy in MO's Story
The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Amy. I am 13 years old, deaf, and weigh 20 pounds. I need a new home because my original owner died and her son could not keep me when he moved. I am being fostered in Columbia, Missouri.

I love food and treats, walks, being close to my person.
I am fostered with two dogs and two cats and get along well with them.
I am not a big fan of car rides, but my foster siblings are teaching me that they are not so scary. I like to stick my head out the window.
I need someone who is patient because I am still a bit anxious in my new situation, but getting more comfortable every day.

From foster mom: Amy is adjusting well in her foster home. She gets along great with the dogs, cats and humans in the house. She’s very spry for being a senior and really enjoys her walks. She does well on leash and does not have to be crated when she’s left at home. I don’t know how she would do home alone without other dogs. She doesn’t get into anything that she shouldn’t. She likes to be with humans. She loves to burrow in blankets, and tuck herself in

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Yes
Leash-trained? Yes
Rides well in car? Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
