Amy Fay's Story
Pretty Amy Fay is ready to find her forever home. She is currently in a foster home in Boerne, Texas and is ready for meet and greets.

She was recently featured in the Dodo! Check out the article here:
https://www.thedodo.com/daily-dodo/rail-yard-workers-call-for-help-when-they-see-dog-running-in-front-of-trains

Amy Fay was hanging out at a train yard, weaving in and out of trains and making the workers very nervous. They know all too well what happens to dogs that come into the train yard. They made all attempts to keep her safe despite their weird rotating schedules, tying her up and taking turns watching her, all the while looking for immediate help.

Well, those patient and persistent men saved her life! Luckily, one of our fosters saw our plea for help and stepped in! Thank you, Kim! Amy is safe!

And what a great dog!! My goodness, it still shocks me how all these great dogs and cats end up in such cruel conditions and circumstances because of humans.

Amy was terrified at the vet, but after just 24 hours her true colors came out. Amy is what we call a “soft “dog. She is gentle, submissive, a worrier, wants to do it right and make you happy, wants to learn and please. She loves her foster siblings and has plenty of energy to romp and play but isn’t crazy at all. Her foster Mom says she's pretty much a perfect puppy, being only 10-12 months old.

She is learning routines, crates well, catching on to potty training and house life. She’s smart and would be a great candidate for training; she catches on fast! She also loves water!! She'd love our lakes and oceans in the PNW!

With her shy personality she would do best with another friendly dogs in her home. She’d make an awesome friend for a resident dog.

Amy is good with dogs. We suspect that she would be fine living with cats with proper intro as she had no reaction to them at the vet.

She bonds very tightly to her person and loves them beyond measure. It happens fast.

Amy is completely vetted, HW negative, spayed. She looks like a Dutch Shepherd mix and weighs about 50 lbs. Very loving girl.

Her adoption fee is $300 and includes all her vaccinations, her spay and microchip. 100% of the fee goes to her care.

Please contact Carla at carlarelf@me.com for more information.
