He has perfect house manners, is great with other dogs, and is a great leash walking companion. If you're looking for a settled older companion with perfect manners, look no further than sweet soul Amos.<br/><br/>From Amos's foster mom: "I have the pleasure of fostering Amos, he is such a sweet, chill dog. He gets a long great with our dogs and loves people, his tail is always wagging. He loves to spend time outside. Amos is very treat motivated. Amos knows sit, paw and is learning stay. We are working on crate training. Truly this dog has the best temperment."<br/><br/>Amos is being treated for heartworm. After he receives the infusion in four weeks, he will be on crate rest/activity restrictions for 6 to 8 weeks afterwards. Amos is still adoptable at this time, but we prefer that he remain local to our vet in Wheaton until he completes his treatment. Once he is cleared, he will be fine for full activity but will need to remain on year round heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>Amos is about 7 yo and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, screened for parasites, and microchipped.
