Amos's Story

Thanks for checking out Amos!

Not quite a year old, this sweet and shy young boy is one of nine puppies we rescued in March 2025 that were abandoned to fend for themselves in rural Kentucky.

Like his brothers and sisters, Amos is unmistakably a hound mix, but he's calmer and quieter than the rest. Shorter, too! Amos is playful and friendly, but not quite as high energy, which will make him a better all-around family dog, for children of all ages.

Amos is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm, tick and flea preventative, and microchipped. He is crate trained and comfortable spending several hours and overnight in his crate!

Amos has been on excursions to dog-friendly businesses and public parks for socialization, walks nicely on a leash, and has completed basic house training. He's a chewer, so crating will be a necessary management tool, but he's happy in his crate so that's not a problem!

Best of all, Amos gets along with all kinds of dogs, and is friendly, although playful, with cats. Proper introductions and supervision would be recommended.

This charming young dog loves to snuggle and spend time being loved on, just as much as he loves playing fetch with a tug toy. We hope to find Amos a family with a fenced yard to keep him safe, and someone to play with. He will melt your heart!

Reach out for more info and to schedule a meet-and-greet soon!
