Amity Joy: female, mixed breed, 10 months old

Meet Amity (aka “Itty Bitty”) 💕
This sweet girl earned her nickname thanks to a toddler who couldn’t quite say “Amity”—and it stuck! She’s equal parts snuggly, silly, and full of love, and she’s ready to find a forever home to call her own.

🏠 Home Life
Amity has been doing wonderfully in her foster home. She’s currently crate trained and has been keeping her space clean, and she’s learning to let her people know when she needs to go outside. She loves being close to her humans and is happiest when she’s curled up nearby.

👶 With Kids & People
Amity is a gentle, affectionate girl who enjoys being around children. She may still be figuring out her size and can get a little enthusiastic when asking for attention (she really wants to be a lap dog!). She can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with time and patience, she has shown that she’s able to warm up and build strong bonds.

🐱 With Other Animals
She’s shown curiosity and playfulness around the resident cat and has handled interactions without any signs of aggression so far. She seems interested in making friends and may enjoy a home with other animals, given proper introductions and guidance.

🧠 Training & Behavior
Amity is a smart girl who’s eager to learn! She already knows “sit,” is working on “come,” and has been practicing polite door manners. Like many young pups, she enjoys picking things up and exploring with her mouth, but she’s been redirecting well and is learning cues like “leave it.” She’s also been comfortable with handling, such as having her paws, ears, and teeth checked.

❤️ Favorite Things
Stuffed animals are her absolute favorite—she’ll happily roll around with them and keep herself entertained. She also loves chew toys, tasty treats, and, most of all, snuggling up with her people.

🚗 Things She’s Working On
Amity is still gaining confidence with car rides and leash walking. New environments, passing cars, and unfamiliar people can sometimes feel overwhelming, but she’s making progress at her own pace with positive support.

If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, and loving companion who will blossom with a little patience and a lot of love, Amity might just be your girl 💖

Come meet our adoptable dogs at open house Wednesday 2-7, Thursday 4-7, Friday 4-7, and Saturday 11-3 at 114 Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett NH. Please submit an application prior to Open House if you hope to adopt on Saturday. Appointments are also made for the dogs throughout the week.

PLEASE do not email us through the Petfinder inquiry. Emails through Petfinder will more than likely not be answered due to volume of email we receive. Thank you for understanding.

For more information on our adoption process please visit our website at www.motleymuttsrescue.com. You can also check us out on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/motleymuttsrescue where we post new dogs available for adoption several times a month. You can also follow us on Instagram at MotleyMuttsRescue.

All Motley Mutts Rescue's puppies are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. All adult dogs are also tested for heartworm prior to transport that are older than 6 months. All puppies and adult dogs will have seen a NH vet for a health certificate within 14 days of adoption. Unless otherwise noted adoption fees range from $575 on adults and $650 on puppies and adults. Adoption fees reflect the costs we incur on vetting and transporting the dogs. All Motley Mutts are in NH for you to meet to see if there's a connection prior to adoption.
