America's Story

America is a spayed, tan female who's ready to steal your heart. She's happy, affectionate, and playful, and she gets along great with other dogs. America is leash trained and a joy to walk, always eager to be by your side. She truly loves people and is happiest spending every minute of her day sharing that joy with her humans. This is amazing because she came to us after being dumped while trying to take care of a litter of puppies. America is a healthy young dog but she did test positive for heartworms when she came to our shelter. America just finished the last of her heartworm injections and she looks forward to having a life free of having to worry about that.

Example of wording:I, the undersigned adopter, certify that I am above the age of 18. I am adopting this cat to be a companion that will be treated as a member of my family. I will provide this cat with safe and adequate housing, nutritious food and fresh water every day. I will provide any needed veterinary care to ensure the health of my cat. I understand that this cat may live up to 15 years or longer and that in his/her older years that he/she will love me just as much and will need me even more. I own my home or if renting, I certify that I do have permission from my landlord to have this cat. I also certify that other any other people and cats in my household will welcome this cat into our home. I agree that I will not move to any place where my cat is not welcome to live with me. I will not allow this cat to roam free near any roadway and will protect my cat from other dangerous situations. Spay/neuter requirements described above
