Amelia's Story

Meet Amelia.

This sweet girl weighs about 45 pounds and was estimated between five and seven years old. She is definitely a people dog. She loves her humans. She loves all humans! She is pretty quiet, only barking when someone comes to the door, and only until you tell her she can stop. She is crate trained, but she really doesn't need to be in a crate because she is well behaved and doesn't get into trouble. She's perfectly happy to just lay on the sofa or a dog bed.

Amelia gets along best with laid-back bigger dogs. Little dogs who bark at her or act fierce with her she takes as a threat. The same is true of cats, she is perfectly fine with calm cats who ignore her, but if a cat hisses or swats at her she takes that as a challenge. For this reason, she would do best as either and only Dog, or one with very calm other pets.

Amelia loves to sniff everything in her surroundings. She's very happy to be in a Yard and she loves going for walks. Lots of sniffing opportunities! ;-)

**Please note: Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. The first part of our process is to have you complete our adoption application. This helps us make compatible matches. You can find the application on our indigorescue.org website under the Adoption tab. Well get back to you from there. Thank you!
