Amelia's Story

Amelia is a free spirit who moves to the beat of her own drum, taking each day at her own pace. She's a curious and cautious soul who, after spending some time exploring the streets of Providence on her own, is now slowly learning to trust again.

Amelia's journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster. She was a bit of a runaway bride, evading animal control for three whole days before they could earn her trust and get close.

In her foster home, Amelia has shown her sweet and affectionate side. She gets along splendidly with dogs of all sizes and has a particular fondness for humans once she feels comfortable in their presence.

Amelia's journey is still a work in progress. Some days, she needs a little extra encouragement to come inside from the backyard, and she's not quite ready for leash walks just yet. She can be a bit of a flight risk, so a secure, fenced yard is a must for this adventurous girl.

But make no mistake, Amelia is a diamond in the rough. With the right person by her side, someone understanding and patient, she will flourish and shine.

www.almosthomeri.org
