Amara's Story

Meet Amara! She and her older sister Zarina found themselves in a rural Kentucky until one of the employees selflessly took them into her home to foster. They have nick named her "Big Mama" as in addition to her XL size her heart is also XL. She is constantly watching over everyone to make sure all is OK. She already knows how to sit and shake and she is making progress on leash walks with the use of a harness. Her favorite past times are belly rubs, receiving cuddles and spending time with her people. She has mastered the "Dane lean" and it is hard to get pics of her as she is constantly right beside you and wants to make every move you do. She does well with other dogs as long as there are slow introductions and is getting much better about understanding and being around cats. Everyday she is getting a little more confident and outgoing. She does like car rides but may need a boost as she isn't readily jumping right in yet. She is definitely her sister's keeper and is always looking pout for Zarina. We would love to be able to keep these girls together if at all possible. She is definitely loyal to all of those she loves both human and canine. She also loves toys and likes to play in her free time. If you are looking for a loving, loyal companion with a gentle heart and playful spirit, Amara is ready to steal your heart. You may email iPAWinc2022@gmail.com for an application.
