Amara's Story

Amara is a 1.5-year-old sweetheart who came to us scared, shut down, and unsure of the world. After a couple of weeks of patience, kindness, and safety, this beautiful girl is finally beginning to blossom — and she is so ready for her new life.

Now cleared for adoption, Amara is showing us what a truly special dog she is. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is gentle and patient with children. Her calm energy makes her easy to love, and her soft, soulful eyes say everything she can’t.

She’s well-mannered on a leash, doesn’t jump on people, and keeps her kennel clean and dry. Amara is the kind of dog who wants to be close, wants to be loved, and wants to trust — she’s just waiting for the right family to show her what forever feels like.

If you’re looking for a sweet, steady, affectionate young dog who will bloom even more in a loving home, Amara may be the perfect match.

Note: Adoption Policy: Montague County Animal Rescue typically does not adopt dogs to homes where they will live primarily outdoors. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.

If you’d like to meet her or learn more:
Montague County Animal Rescue
Call or text 469-951-0215
Message us anytime.
