Amara's Story
Meet Amara

Amara is a 1–2 year old large sized mixed breed (we're guessing pittie/bulldog) weighing in at about 58 lbs of pure love and goofiness. This happy girl hasn't let her past define her—after being abandoned and surviving on her own for about a month, she's now thriving in foster care and soaking up every bit of attention she can get.

Amara is full of life and personality. She's energetic, playful, and always ready for fun—especially if toys are involved! She loves to toss them in the air, shake them around, and entertain herself. She told us toys will be a requirement in her new home! One of her absolute favorite things? Water! Turn on a hose or sprinkler and you've got her full attention (and a very happy pup). When she's not playing, she's just as content to settle down with a bone or frozen Kong and relax.

She's doing amazing in her foster home—fully house trained with zero accidents, even overnight or during the workday. Amara is also crate trained and will happily go into her enclosure for a treat. She already knows some basic commands like sit and paw, and she definitely understands the word “treat.”

Amara loves people and will gladly hand out kisses to anyone willing to accept them. She was found with another dog but since being in her foster home she does not seem to like her anymore. She would be best as an only dog. She would do best in a home without cats or small animals due to her prey drive. She has experience with teenagers but not little kids but her foster thinks she would do fine with them.

Amara would fit well in a variety of homes—whether you're looking for an active companion to join you for playtime or a buddy who can also relax and keep herself busy, she's got both sides covered. More than anything, she's looking for a family who will give her the love and stability she's always deserved.

She will be spayed prior to adoption and is ready to find her forever home and is up to date on vaccines. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate girl with a resilient spirit, Amara might just be your perfect match

If you want to apply to adopt please go to https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2706574&name=Amara

Together, we're saving lives—one by one!

One By One Rescue is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit foster based rescue.
