When he first arrived at our sanctuary, he was in rough shape, but thanks to lots of love and care, this sweet hound pup is now thriving! He's at a healthy weight, feeling great, and loving life in his amazing foster home.<br/><br/>Alvin is everything you'd want in a puppy-he loves kids, adores treats, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Whether he's exploring the backyard with his nose to the ground, making new canine friends, or snuggling up on the couch after a day of play, Alvin is happiest when he's with the people he loves.<br/><br/>Like any true hound, his curious nose is always leading him to his next adventure, and his playful, affectionate personality makes every day more fun. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag.  If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them.      Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. C.A.R.E. deworms all of the animals in our care.
