Hello World! I'm Alvin! I love doing zoomies in the yard, delicious snackies, and LOTS of love. I was breeder surrendered to my foster mom after the breeder found out I am not a true hairless chihuahua. Both of my parents were blue chihuahuas and you cant breed 2 blues together and not end up with genetic issues so I have color dilute alopecia which caused me to lose most of my hair. That didn't matter to my foster mom she told me I was handsome with or without hair and she loves me any way. I'm 2 yrs old and my life has finally begun the minute my foster mom took me away from the breeder. I had never been in a house before and I have acclimated to that well but I was very afraid at first since it was all new to me. I'm not fully housetrained yet but we are working on it. Coming from a life outdoors in a pen to being in a house was a big switch for me and I do forget sometimes but I'm getting better and mom says I'm doing very well with my training. I love to play in the grass since I didn't really know what it was until a couple months ago. I turned 2 at my foster moms house and she surprised me with a chew and a pupcake from Three Dog Bakery and I LOVED it. I'm very food motivated and though I get the zoomies I'm not hyper. I enjoy cuddle time and lots of love. I'm getting better with my leash training and socialization but I'm still very nervous in new situations and in loud places. Once I trust you and feel safe with you I will be your best friend forever! Because of my big voice and vocal nature mom does not recommend an apartment for me. She also said no kids under 15yrs of age because of my size and the fact that I'm not 100% ok with children. My dream is to find a loving family of my own who will love me unconditionally and spoil me rotten to the point that I forget my past. I'm good with other SMALL dogs and will sometimes initiate play time. I can be mouthy when I play but I promise I'm not biting I just like to catch your finger in my mouth and hold your hand with my feet.
