Allison(Allie)'s Story
This special girl is Allison. She was purchased from a breeder in May of 2024. Allie was very loved by her family, but sadly she was owner surrendered. A Sheltie was simply was not the right fit for them. When I first arrived, she was under the families bed and wouldn't come out. I asked if this was a normal behavior, the answer was yes. Allison was so nervous that she found this to be her safe place.
The home was located on a very busy road and they didn't have a fence so Allie got absolutely no exercise or socialization ,and was using pee pads to potty. Her skittish behavior kept her owner from even trying to get her outside.

I finally got this precious little girl out of the home & situated for transport back to the rescue. I decided to make a few stops to observe her reactions to strangers and other dogs. She was a bit standoffish but I was actually pleasantly surprised. We ended our day at her new fosters moms home. They have three large rough coat collies so this will be interesting. That was Oct 31st and her foster mom has been amazing! This little girl has come out of her shell. Allies earned the nick name "Little Napoleon"...lol

So, this is what we know so far. Allison MUST have a secure fence because she loves her yard. No small children that she can heard. She will do best with smaller patient pups. She has done well with her potty training ,but will have an occasional accident. Allison is strictly an inside dog with play time with her family inside the yard. Please understand that we are going to be very cautious in choosing her forever home. Experience with the breed is a plus.

Please text me at 423-653-9895 to request our adoption questionnaire.
