Hi! My name is Alissa and I am looking for my forever family.<br/>I'm a sweet, goofy girl with a gentle heart. I didn't always have a home, so new things can feel a little scary at first. I like to take my time to understand my surroundings--but once I feel safe and learn your routine, my loving personality really shines through.<br/>I'm a smart girl who is already house trained and learning all kinds of new things. I know "sit," and I come when I'm called--especially when I think there might be treats involved! 😉 I'm also learning how to walk on a leash. At first, it was a little overwhelming, but I'm discovering that walks mean getting to sniff, explore, and see new things--and I'm starting to think exploring can actually be pretty fun! <br/>I get along well with other dogs, but I also have an independent side. I'm perfectly happy entertaining myself when my people are busy. One thing you should know about me is that crates make me very anxious, so my foster family lets me stay out of the crate both during the day when they're away and at night. So far, I've done wonderfully with that freedom and haven't caused any problems.<br/>I may need a little patience while I learn that the world is a safe place, but once I feel comfortable, I'm ready to show you what a sweet, smart, and fun girl I can be. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
