Alice's Story

Alice (10 years old) came to rescue as a stray in rough shape, but through it all she has remained as sweet as can be.
When she arrived, she was battling double ear infections, skin issues that required medicated baths every other day, and a stubborn UTI that we are still working to fully clear. Thankfully, shes already made so much progress her medicated baths are now only needed twice a month (and maybe eventually just monthly), her ear infections are gone, and shes feeling so much better overall. Shes also gone from 31 pounds down to a healthier 27 pounds!
Alice will eventually need a dental once her UTI is fully resolved, but despite everything shes been through, she continues to greet life and everyone she meets with love. Every new person is simply a friend she hasnt met yet. Shes done well around children ages 17, ignores cats completely, and absolutely loves snuggling and soaking up attention.
Alice has limited hearing and can mostly only see shadows, but dont tell her that she cant do things. From day one, she explored confidently and quickly learned her routines. She can manage a few steps, happily goes into her kennel when its mealtime, rides wonderfully in the car, and does well kenneled when left alone.
Alice is a strong-willed little lady who knows what she wants. As she has gotten more comfortable in her foster home, she has started showing that she prefers to be in charge. Because of this, Alice is looking for a home where she can be the only dog and enjoy all the love and attention for herself.
She has been through a lot, but her gentle heart and resilient spirit still shine through every day.
