Alfredo's Story

Alfredo (Alfy) is fostered in the Lehigh valley, PA. Local adoptions only.
His special needs include a grade 4 heart murmur, defective heart valve and possible seizures. He was seen by a cardiologist and surgeon at Quakertown vet who consulted with UPENN and said surgery was not an option to repair the valve.

Alfredo is a handsome 1-year-old Samoyed with a big smile, an even bigger heart, and a personality that wins over everyone he meets. This fluffy boy is incredibly social and loves people of all ages. Whether its adults, children, or visitors stopping by, Alfredo is always excited to make a new friend and soak up all the attention he can get.

Alfredo has also shown himself to be wonderful with other dogs and is always eager to meet and play with every puppy he encounters. However, due to some ongoing medical concerns, interactions with other dogs need to be carefully managed and kept limited. Potential adopters are encouraged to contact the rescue directly for more information regarding his medical needs and long-term care requirements.

Because of these medical considerations, Alfredos ideal home is a calm, slower-paced environment where someone is home most of the time. He is not a candidate for an active adventure lifestyle, dog parks, or a home with energetic playmates. If there is another dog in the home, an older, less active companion would be the best fit. Alfredo will also require regular veterinary monitoring and ongoing medical checkups.

When hes not charming everyone he meets, Alfredo enjoys the simple things in life. He loves cuddling with his people, chewing on his favorite bones, and entertaining himself with one of his most adorable hobbiesfishing ice cubes out of his water bowl for a tasty snack!

Alfredo is looking for a special family that understands his needs and is willing to provide the love, patience, and care he deserves. In return, hell reward you with endless affection, companionship, and plenty of smiles.
