Alfie's Story
Meet Alfie:

Some dogs arrive quietly. Alfie arrived like he already owned the place.

This little guy joined the Rescue on February 28th and, in record time, has completely stolen our hearts. Alfie appears to be a Westie x Maltese mix and weighs about 12 pounds of pure personality. Right now he’s rocking the “freshly shaved” look thanks to some serious mats he came in with. Let’s just say his hairdresser had a lot to talk about that day.

Alfie was found as a stray, and the wonderful person who found him spent a couple of weeks trying to locate an owner. Sadly, no one came forward. He wasn’t microchipped, his coat was badly matted, and his nails were long enough to qualify him for a part-time job as a tap dancer. Despite all that, Alfie showed up with a fantastic attitude and a heart full of love.

We estimate Alfie is about 2-3 years old. He seems to be pretty well housebroken, which is always a pleasant surprise. As for crates… Alfie would like to file a formal complaint! He much prefers important activities like lounging with the other dogs, supervising the household, or sitting proudly in someone’s lap like the tiny king he clearly believes he is.

From day one, Alfie has been incredibly affectionate. He gives kisses freely and often, like he’s trying to make up for lost time. He’s curious about everything, confident in that charming little-dog way, and struts around the house with just enough swagger to make you laugh.

Alfie is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated - he is ready for adoption!

If you’re looking for a small dog with a big personality, a generous supply of kisses, and the confidence of a dog who believes the world revolves around him… Alfie may already be waiting for you.

_________________________________________________________________________________

ALFIE DETAILS:

Dog is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means he is not at this location but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transport.

Please complete the application on this link:

https://forms.gle/FKSMBuoGTujaTkun8

Or email Sandra.ttr.tx@gmail.com for a link to the application.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet him.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
