Meet Alfie! This handsome boy is approximately 1 year old and 45-50 Ibs.<br/><br/>Alfie LOVES other dogs and desperately wants to be everyone's friend! He can be a little excitable and may overwhelm some dogs, so he'd love a playful, confident doggy companion who can match his energy.<br/><br/>He is crate-trained and we're still working on house-training.<br/>He doesn't always alert when he needs to go out and will occasionally pee in his crate. We can't blame him — Alfie spent months confined to a concrete kennel in a rural Kentucky shelter where he was hardly ever let out. Despite everything, this boy is nothing but happy, loving, and ready to live life!<br/><br/>And boy, does he LOVE to play! Balls are his absolute favorite — any size, any kind! He loves fetch, prances around the yard carrying toys, collects sticks for the porch, and will sometimes proudly show you his latest treasure like he's daring you to try to take it.<br/><br/>One of our favorite things about Alfie is watching him entertain himself. He'll toss a rope toy or ball into the air, pounce on it, catch it, and do it all over again while bouncing around the yard. He is guaranteed to make you laugh and smile, even when his goofy enthusiasm gets a little rambunctious!<br/><br/>With continued training, structure, attention, and patience, we have no doubt Alfie will grow into an amazing, well-rounded companion.
