He is, a 10–12 month old, 20 lb Border Terrier mix with a heart of gold and a face only... everyone could love! With his scruffy (low to non-shedding) coat, adorable underbite, and signature happy snorts, Alf turns heads and melts hearts wherever he goes.<br/><br/>This little guy is the definition of easygoing. He’s quiet, cuddly, and low-maintenance — the kind of pup who just wants to be near his people, preferably snuggled up in a lap or napping at your feet. He sleeps soundly all night in his crate, though he wouldn’t mind upgrading to your bed (he promises to snore quietly).<br/><br/>Alf would thrive in a home with a family, especially one with kids who want a chill, sweet companion. He’s gentle, affectionate, and content to tag along from room to room, happy just to be included. While a bit shy with new people at first, he warms up quickly — especially if they’re offering pets (his favorite thing).<br/><br/>He’s not a high-energy pup, but he does love his walks (short and sweet!) and is learning the ropes of the big world. New sights and sounds can be a little spooky, but he’s doing great and would love someone patient to keep showing him the ropes. He isn’t obsessed with toys, but give him a squeaky one and you’ll see a few joyful zoomies — his back legs hilariously outpace the front ones every time!<br/><br/>Alf is still working on his house training, and his foster family has learned that regular post-meal walks are a must. A family that can give him some structure, routine and support as he settles in will help him thrive.
