Alexis - Paws Behind Bars Puppy Training<br/>This seven month old Spaniel mix is enjoying her time in puppy training in the Paws Behind Bars Prison Training Program! She was found wandering as a stray with her mother and they were placed in a rural shelter! That bad luck has now turned around as she was taken into Blue Ridge Animal Rescue and is socializing beautifully with other dogs and learning her basic commands of sit, down, stay, potty training and walking nicely on a leash! Alexis is super friendly and always has her beautiful smile to greet you! Her mature weight should only be around 43 pounds so she will be a very nice small/medium size dog when grown. All prospective animals ready for adoption begin with an application filled out by a prospective adopter. Taking into account the animal's specific needs, applications are taken in the order they are received to match appropriate families with the needs of that specific animal. Once an approval is made and the potential adopter contacted, a meet and greet with the entire family and, if possible, includes the adopters current animals as well. If the meet and greet goes well the animal may go home with that potential adopter.
