At 7 months old, Aleu is a Husky/Shepherd mix and is still figuring out the world — preferably by following another dog who already knows what’s going on. New places and new people can make her a little shy at first, but once she settles in, she’s a sweet, goofy girl who just wants to be near her humans… ideally on the couch.<br/><br/>She absolutely loves other dogs and takes her “monkey see, monkey do” approach to life very seriously. Walking on a leash? Easier if another dog demonstrates first. Exploring the yard? Better with a buddy. Confidence? Currently outsourced to her canine friends.<br/><br/>Her hobbies include:<br/><br/>• Following you from room to room like a Velcro dog<br/><br/>• Supervising all couch activities<br/><br/>• Learning how to dog<br/><br/>With her tall wolf-like ears always tuned into the action, Aleu looks like she stepped straight out of the snowy wilderness of Balto — even if she’s really just listening for the sound of her human! Aleu does have some separation anxiety that should improve as she builds trust that she won’t be alone again. <br/><br/>She’ll thrive in a patient home with another friendly dog to show her the ropes and humans who understand that the shy girls are often the sweetest ones.
