Alabama's Story

Meet Alabama!

Alabama is yearning for her own home, as she has been with our rescue since we rescued her from being euthanized over a year ago. The history we know is she came into a shelter after she was hit by a car which left her terrified. Since then, she has opened up to our volunteers, showing her wiggly hind end that radiates her happieness. She would enjoy a person or family that enjoys taking her on walks, playing games, and generally letting her be her goofy self.

Pets, snuggles, and spending time with her own people is what Alabama is looking for. Her new family will be patient as she gets to know them, but before you know it, Alabama will have wormed her way into your hearts. Her preference is women, as she will take a delicate amount of time warming up to men. Please note, she is not a car dog. AT ALL. Alabama does get along with other dogs, but she tends to overwhelm them. Alabama would not do well around small dogs do to her lack of "dogging".

Its time for Alabama to find her own bed to sleep on, we hope to hear from you soon!

Alabamas adoption donation is $200 which includes her vaccines, spay, and microchip.

Hoof and Paw ART's Adoption Policy
Once an animal is deemed adoptable, when a potential adopter expresses interest, we will have them fill out an application. After reviewing it, we will do an interview to vet them. When possible, this will include a face to face with children, other dogs etc.. Then we will typically do a foster to adoption agreement. After a period of time (from a couple of weeks to a few months based on the animal and other factors), we will do a final adoption agreement. In some cases, such as a previous adopter in good standing, we may skip the foster step.
