Akira's Story
Meet Akira

Meet Akira, a sweet 7-year-old mixed breed with a big heart and an even bigger smile. Akira was sadly abandoned at a boarding facility through no fault of her own. Thankfully, the staff there quickly fell in love with her gentle spirit and have been caring for her as a foster while she waits for the forever family she truly deserves. Shes been spoiled with toys and attention but its still not a home.

Akira weighs about 68 pounds, is spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations. Through all the change in her life, she has remained incredibly resilient and loving. Still, kennel life just isnt where this sweet girl belongs. She loves playing tug and fetch and happily chews on her favorite pig ears. Akira knows sit, is potty trained, and is both loyal and affectionate. She has a fun, energetic side and would make a wonderful hiking buddy but shes just as happy curling up on the couch with her people afterward. Akira does have a high-energy, confident play style with other dogs. Because of that, she would do best in a home without small children, small pets, or cats. Shell thrive with a family who understands her playful nature and can give her the structure and love she deserves.

After everything shes been through, Akira is ready for someone who will never let her go again.
