Aggie's Story

Meet Aggie!

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET" - that means she is not at this location, but we do have transport here - more about transport below. Our Rescue is Houston based (https://www.facebook.com/TwilightTailsRescue) and all our fosters and Rescue Ranch are in and around Houston.

Aggie is a 40 pound, one-year old German Wirehaired Pointer and Schnauzer
mix. She was saved by a wonderful woman who saw Aggie running in and out of traffic around Houston and scooped her up to safety.

Aggie is a happy, loving dog. She loves the outdoors and loves playing with the other dogs at our Rescue Ranch. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but quickly makes friends and loves to give kisses and licks. Aggie will be great with kids but does gently jump a little bit when excited, so it is best she joins a family without small children.

Aggie is very smart and is treat-motivated for training purposes. She is crate trained and house-trained and doesn't make much noise unless there is a good reason!

Aggie walks well on a leash, currently being walked with a harness. She gets along great with the other dogs at the Rescue Ranch, big and small, but not recommended for a home with cats.

Personality & Home Life
Aggie is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she is close to her people. Cuddles, kisses, head scratches, and companionship are her love language. She is obedient, well-mannered, and genuinely enjoys being part of whatever her family is doing.

Aggie is just finishing up her heartworm treatment and is doing wonderfully. She will be fully cleared and ready for normal activity again within about two weeks. Her recovery has been smooth, and she’s expected to be completely fine.

Aggie is spayed, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands she has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with her new family.

NOTE: THIS IS AN "OUT OF TOWN PET". Currently this dog is being fostered near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Please complete the application on this link:

https://forms.gle/FKSMBuoGTujaTkun8

Or email Sandra.ttr.tx@gmail.com for a link to the application.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet her.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
