Agate's Story
Agate has been a true transformation story! When she first arrived at Gigi's, she was very fearful and shutdown, concerned about the world around her. We jumped into gear supplying her with the support she needed, and she's done a near 180! Agate now socially greets people and enjoys exploring the world. Some things, like super busy areas and startling noises can be a little scary, but she's quick to recover and move on. When meeting other dogs, she's curious and will pop in play. She likes to have some space from other dogs when eating her food, but that's perfectly normal and frankly, who wants someone crowding them while they eat!
Recently Agate spent some time foster and got rave reviews from her people. We are so delighted with how far this little lady has come in such a short amount of time, the world is her oyster.

Agate will likely remain a medium sized dog as an adult and have moderate to high energy levels. She'll benefit from continued socialization with other dogs, people, sights, and sounds! She is approximately 4 months old and weighs between 22-24 pounds.

Gigi's offers Training and Puppy Classes, as well as Private Behavior sessions and Veterinary Behavioral options to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw! Check out: https://gigisbehavior.org

Agate has received her full-service vet care, vaccines, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and is spayed. To meet this dog or any of our other ready-for-adoption dogs, visit Gigi's during our open adoption hours listed on www.gigis.org. By adopting a Gigi’s Grad, you are helping other shelter dogs in need get vital care and an opportunity to find a new family, just like yours — together we’re improving the lives of shelter dogs™.
