Agape's Story

MAGNANIMOUS, is the only word to describe Agape' (Greek for perfect love). Discarded on a busy road, with a heavy, studded, thick collar choking him - it was strangling-tight - he became a "street dog," a dumped "stray," Confused & scared, he began starving, as living his whole life apparently on a chain, he was unaware of how to scavage for food, or even be "beloved pet." Yet upon "getting hands on him," he melted. He gave gentle kisses to our hands as if a thank you as he ate gently from our hands. He loves ALL humans. Other dogs. A lover, not a fighter. Playful & somehow still filled with love, adoration, connection, & affection for all humans. He represents hope, resilience, forgiveness, & all things good. He is a sheer delight. Easy going, yet desperately longing for, finally, the human who will love him for his lifetime. He is MOST DESERVING! He is very affectionate. Not sure about age, as of Nov 2023, he is guesstimated to be about 3. Please, he desperately needs OUT of rescue. Shelter living has so many dogs vying for the affection, time, "one-on-one" contact & positive reinforcement they so deserve BUT DO NOT GET. Email rescue@healingspecies.org Or for faster contact text Cheri 803 308 7374 for meet & greet. Please give us YOUR 1st & last name & County or town or state you are coming from. ???
