Adeline's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Adeline! Born around August 2023, she's as sweet as her name implies! She is near her ideal weight of 80 pounds.

Sweet Adeline, Addy for short, loves people and minds well (in Pyr time - meaning slowly). She can sometimes be a bit shy and scared, but she gets past the feelings quickly.

She is calm in the house and sometimes climbs onto the couch for snuggles with her people or her doggy friends.

She loves to play with her furry foster sisters, large and small. Her favorite toy could possibly be her Rat Terrier foster sister! She treats the little dog gently and likes proper toys too.

Addy would do well as an only dog if she gets lots of attention, but would prefer a doggy companion. She hasn't been cat tested, but lives well with the small dogs in her foster home. (We can see how she does with cats if needed.)

Addy came to us in January 2025. She was under severely weight and had a bad case of mange. She's healing and her fur is growing back slowly; since the mange took a while to get so severe, she needs more time to heal. She has gained sufficient weight and now looks forward to meals.

She walks well on a leash. She loads up in the car easily and rides calmly.

We had Addy's DNA tested and she is 87% Great Pyrenees with the other 13% spread over 7 other breeds.

Addy is truly a diamond in the rough! She has already made huge strides in revealing her inner and outer beauty.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
