What is Ruff to Rescue Express’s adoption process?

We require that existing animals in a potential home are current on veterinary care; spayed or neutered if old enough; and that you allow us to confirm this with your vet prior to any adoption. Our process is a meeting in a public place or at your home for the first meet and greet of our foster dog. If that goes well, we then contact your vet (if you have existing animals) to confirm veterinary care and set up a home visit. We would then bring the foster dog to your home again to ensure he/she gets on well with all that live in the home and that it is a safe environment for the dog. A home visit is required before any adoption can take place. We try to do all our adoptions just before family has day(s) off from work so that time can be spent together prior to the work week starting. It is mandatory that we meet all family members living in the home. Please understand we are all volunteers, so at times it may take a few days for someone to respond to your request/question. Some dogs will require a fenced in yard and some will not. If there are specific needs for the dog, we will let you know.

Adele is good with other dogs. It is not known if Adele is good with cats.
