Adele's Story

Welcome Adele! Adele is a beautiful 2 1/2-year-old lemon/red & white basset who is beginning an exciting new chapter with Suncoast Basset Rescue!

Adele was recently surrendered to SBR by a breeder, and were thrilled to say that her breeding days are behind her. From now on, her only job is to enjoy being a dog—and to find the loving family she's always deserved.

Like many former breeder dogs, Adele is just beginning to experience life outside the breeding world. Everyday sights, sounds, and experiences are still new to her, so she's taking it all in one step at a time. With patience, gentle encouragement, and plenty of love, we're confident this sweet girl will continue to blossom.

Adele will thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help her learn the routines and joys of family life. Her ideal forever family will understand that trust takes time and that every small milestone is worth celebrating.

Right now, Adele is settling in with a wonderful foster family, where she's receiving excellent care and getting her first taste of the simple pleasures she's missed—soft beds, kind hands, and a home where she can finally relax. Once she's medically cleared and we learn more about her unique personality, she'll be ready to begin the search for her forever family.
