Adelaide's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I’m Adelaide, a 45 pound, 5 year old cattle dog. My friends call me Addy. My breed comes from Australia but the police found me wandering in Kent. Being dumped by my last owner was awful. I was alone and scared on the streets not knowing who I could trust and not having much to eat. Thankfully I was rescued. I live with my foster family now and I’m learning how nice being a dog can be. I have toys, treats, my own bed and humans who pet and care for me. I have two big brothers and a big yard in which we run around and chase each other and hunt for things.

So things are pretty good but I would really like my own person. I want to upgrade from foster dog to be someone’s own dog. I’ve been waiting a long time. Issue is I am timid with people and reactive to other dogs until I know ok. Because of this, I don’t give a good first impression but if you give me a chance, I’ll make the most loyal and loving companion.

Foster mom Donna here. It has been so rewarding to watch Addy transition from fearful to happy and playful. She has high energy outside but calm inside. She is independent but has become ever more affectionate. Her ideal owner will love the outdoors and have a yard where she can run free and explore. Because she loves exploring so much, a fence or e-collar would be ideal.

If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here: adoption application

For those viewing on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal please click on More About Rose's Rescue, you may fill out adoption application from there.
