Ace's Story

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Ace is a tender gentle guy whose dream is to be someone's treasured friend. He warms up quickly and is a friend to everyone. Ace would love a family that will include him in their adventures. Whether it's going for a walk, a drive or just relaxing on the couch this guy is the best sidekick. Ace tends to bark when left alone so apartment life isn't for him. He is getting used to being in a crate when his people are gone. This will keep him secure when he isn't able to join his family.

Ace has always lived with other dogs and cats and is a gentleman to all. We think he would enjoy a home with a canine companion or two. Ace loves men, women and children equally - he just loves everyone! Ace has great house manners and only wants to please his people.

Ace recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He also received a dental with extractions and had an eyelid mass removed. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Ace is 10 years old and weighs 16 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479

Save-A-Mutt's Adoption Policy
Save-A-Mutt is a Foster Based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes, there is no facility to visit. All adopters are required to fill out an application. As we review the application, we may have questions - and prefer email to ask/answer them. So please check your email regularly. We may remove adoptable animals off of Petfinder while we work on applications - but will contact you to let you know. We like to have one good app per pet as not to disappoint people. It can take a couple days to finish an application, depending on your references, etc. Please let your references know that will be sending emails - they sometime go to junk mail. We enjoy open communication, but we are a volunteer organization, so please be patient. Once we receive all the information we need, we will schedule a phone interview, home check, etc. Thank you and we will be in touch! Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make acceptions only with the approval of the foster home.
