The Doberman Rescue Pack's Adoption Policy
Prospective adopters must fill out an application in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our rescue. Once an application is submitted, a volunteer will reach out for a phone interview to go over their application in its entirety. Once an applicant is approved, applicant must finish a home-visit prior to meeting any dogs in rescue. Since COVID-19, most home-visits are done virtually via a form or a video call with a rescue volunteer. After a match is found for the potential adopter, 2-3 meet and greets are required to ensure it is a good fit for both the dog and the potential new owners. Once all parties (foster, rescue and prospective family) decide that the dog is the right fit, an adoption contract and fee is sent to finalize the adoption. Once filled, the dog is ready to go home with their new forever family!
