Abu's Story
Abu is a male Chihuahua mix. He was born on 7/6/20 and weighs about 11 lbs. He is neutered, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped, on flea/heartworm prevention and has had a negative fecal. His adoption is $100.

He is super cute, as you can see. He is kind of tall and has a build similar to an Italian Greyhound, but he's super scruffy and unique looking!

He gets along fine with dogs of any size, and most cats, and has shown zero interest or issue with any in his past. However, he has a serious problem with one of mine (he aggressively chases/corners him), so we cannot guarantee that he is going to be good with ALL cats.

He is potty trained, but can mark if not watched, so a belly band is good for him (that's what I use and it's soo easy). I crate him when I leave the house and he never, ever, makes any mess in there. Crating is up to you, but he does like time in his little 'den'. He won't chew shoes or furniture or anything, but if you leave a napkin or small piece of paper within reach- he might steal that- but he's otherwise very good. He does enjoy squeaky toys that he can call his own!

He isn't a huge barker BUT- when you leave, he will cry and whine a bit. And, when he hears your car pull up, he will SCREAM! Kind of like a person, until you walk inside. So, we really cannot recommend him for apartment or condo living where there are shared walls.

Abu is a strange little guy, but he is VERY loving and sweet! He will jump right up into your lap at any given time, if you let him. He will curl up with you at night, in bed, in JUST the right, cuddly/cozy spot! He can be fidgety when he first arrives with you, but once he is comfortable with you and in his new home, he is SUCH a little doll.

Please email for an adoption application. Once the application is approved, we will arrange for you to meet and adopt.

We do not adopt out of state.
Due to many bounced checks, we now require that adoption donations be cash, Zelle, Cash App or Venmo. However, if you make a general donation to the organization (not associated with the adoption of a pet) we do accept checks and paypal. If you are unable to adopt right now, won't you please make a donation to help care for the pets? THANK YOU!!
