Beautiful Abby is fostered in Chanute Kansas, if you are interested in adopting this darling girl, you must be willing to travel to her foster home to adopt her. We do not transport nor ship our dogs.<br/>This darling girl lost her mommy so she came into rescue. :) She has been well cared for and loved. she is a bit shy around new situations & people, but warms up VERY quickly! She loves to be talked to and petted. :)<br/>She is current on her shots and heartworm tested negative. :)<br/>She is not totally housebroken, but is crate trained. She just requires someone who is patient with her as her world is upside down right now.<br/>We know she was around a kitty in her former home, but am unsure how she will do with other dogs right now. She is quite shy of the kids (dogs) here, but she is overwhelmed as she just came in.<br/>She is full dachshund, however one parent was standard & the other a mini size. She is closer to the standard size. Her weight is 20 or 21 pounds.<br/>She isn't bad in the tub, thoroughly enjoyed being brushed, but does NOT like the dryer. Although she did settle down and tolerate it.<br/>She LOVES when her foster mom sings to her, she doesn't even mind that the human can't sing & is tone deaf. :)<br/>She's around 2 to 3 years old and acts like a puppy! She gets so excited playing with us. She came with a rope toy, but we only let her have it when when we have her outside and under supervision, she tries to pull out the strings in it. She also tried to pull out fuzz from a fuzzy dog bed and eat it. These are some reasons we say she acts like a baby.
