Abby's Story
Abby
7 years, 15lbs
Rescued in the Southwest after being surrendered through no fault of her own

Meet Abby! This cuddly, laid-back girl is moderate energy and thoroughly people-oriented — she loves every single person she meets (with a particular soft spot for men) and takes on new situations with a game "up for anything" attitude. She's very interested in other dogs, tolerates cats perfectly, and stays relaxed whether left alone or when guests come by, showing no signs of separation anxiety. She's an excellent leash companion who doesn't pull but does love a good, thorough sniff of every stoop and plant along the way.

Abby knows her name, with basic commands likely to come with a little practice. Her days are filled with the good stuff: cuddles, belly scratches, sunbathing, leisurely walks, bug hunting, car rides, cozy beds, and — of course — treats (really, a lot of treats). Abby would do well as an only dog or with a companion, is a perfect fit for apartment living, and would thrive in a moderate household in a walkable neighborhood where she can greet everyone she passes. Her foster adores her perked-up ears, ever-wagging tail, soulful eyes, and the perfect balance she strikes between loving and independent, curious and well-behaved — Abby is a total gem, ready for a home that will appreciate every bit of her.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
