Abby's Story

Abby is a gorgeous 6.5-year-old Labrador Retriever and Bluetick Coonhound mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This sweet girl originally came to us at Stray Haven from North Carolina in 2021. Sadly, she recently found her way back to the shelter after her previous adopter passed away, and now she's searching for a new, permanent family to cherish her.

Abby is quite the social butterfly and has so much love to give. She'll thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and share all her amazing energy!

The Ideal Home for Abby

Dog Friends: Abby can be a little choosy about her canine companions. We recommend a meet-and-greet with any existing dogs in the home to see if they're a good match.

No Cats, Please: She would prefer a home without any feline friends.

House Manners: Abby is a smart cookie! She's excellent about keeping her kennel clean here at the shelter, which means she'll likely pick up a potty schedule quickly and easily in her new home.

If you are looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Abby is ready to fill your life with joy!
