A Disney baby, KANE's Story
KANE, fostered in Wallingford, CT, is approx a year old and around 45 lbs., was an owner surrender from NYC with his brother, BLESSING in July 2026. Both dogs were in a home with four young children and were being neglected. The family's social worker alerted us that they needed help and we stepped in. When we met these dogs, we were blown away by how well adjusted they were, despite their trauma and havung spent nearly 24 hours a day inside a crate for many months.<br/><br/>KANE is very affectionate and loving, and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adopters will need to continue to help him ease out of his shell as a lifetime of neglect has created a fear of new people entering the home, which is a newer behaviour we began seeing September 2026. We do not know how they are with cats.
