665 (2026) Zucchini's Story
Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: 8 puppies (6m, 2f) out of a litter of 9 transferred from the Animal Services Center of Mesilla Valley in New Mexico at ~8 weeks old. The family was found living under a trailer home when the puppies were very young. These puppies were held due to URI symptoms but Mama (603 - Penny) and asymptomatic and separated 9th puppy (604 - Mabel) were transferred to CPR ~2 weeks earlier to avoid euthanasia.

From the foster: Drumroll please! I am pleased to introduce Zucchini! Yes! Zucchini came to Colorado with that name and we are keeping it until you change it! He is a showstopper! This boy just wants all the attention and will strut his stuff making sure you understand how photogenic he is! And boy is he! You could take a million shots of this boy and all of them are adorable and leave you wanting more! His brown fur is super impressive but the markings are what makes you smitten. What really grabs your heart is those eyes though! He has amazing eyes with a light grayish color!
Now let's talk personality and charm! Zucchini is a friendly and outgoing boy! He really loves people and other dogs! He is full of tail wags which is super cute because his tail has a little curl in it. He will bask in your arms and give you the best kisses! He loves a belly rub while your at it. Zucchini also has a spunky side where he just loves to play! He likes to play gentle with his littermates and also will lay down with a toy to entertain! He is not a super explorer of the yard yet but we are getting there! He is not a fan of baths but there is so much to this new world, he is allowed to hate them for now. He is not potty trained and is not crate trained. With this litter, they need to just be loved on and be exposed to all the good stuff after their time in the shelter environment. He would be great with kids although a nibble on a shoe is bound to happen.
Zucchini is a charmer! This puppy will melt your heart and you will soon realize how much you LOVE Zucchini and will absolutely need Zucchini in your life! Who knew! He is going to grow to be handsome and just a super happy tail wagging boy! He absolutely deserves the best furever home!

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
