542 (2026) Ally's Story

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: Litter of 4 puppies (2M, 2F) transferred with their mom (# 543) from Helping Hands Animal Rescue in Texas at approximately 3 months old. Mom was on the euthanasia list when pregnant and tagged by rescue. Puppies were born prior to transport and a Parvo outbreak ended up delaying transport. Out of seven, four in the litter survived.

From the foster: This girl loves people so much! She would bring a toy in her mouth to the back porch and wait by the door to have someone come out and hang with her. She loves your attention. She enjoyed running around the backyard with her sister. She would get her zoomies out then rest by the back porch. With her black fur she would always look for the shade. I would say her energy level is medium. Play, rest, then go potty and repeat. This was what most of her day consisted of.

She ate very well. No issues with feedings. I fed her 3 times a day and she would let me know when it was time to eat.

At night she slept in a gated area with her sister. There were puppy pads in there for potty breaks throughout the night. She remained quiet until 6 or 7ish when she and her sister were ready for breakfast. I did have to put a top over the gate at night as she learned how to jump out of it on the third night of fostering. No issues after I put a roof over the pin.

Keep some puppy toys around as she loved to chew on them.

The only time I heard her bark was when a neighbor or their dog came out. Outside of that she was mostly quiet and happy.

We don't have other pets in our house, but I do have 3 boys and Ally had a great time loving them. She is very good with children. Ally will make a great addition to any family looking for a loving dog.

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
