493 (2026) Peanut's Story

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: Litter of 6 (4F, 2M) transferred from 1 Tail At A Time in NM at approximately 6 months old. 1 Tail pulled the litter from a shelter in November and they fell ill with Parvo. Originally a litter of 8, 2 pups did not survive. The rest completed full treatment and received continued vetting until CPR had space to add them to transport.

From the foster: The Love You Never Knew You Needed... Miss Peanut is just but 6 months and is a happy and loving 30 pounds of wonderfulness. She is a bit shy and takes time to trust, but she is kind, sweet and so gentle.

In the short time she has been with us she is making great strides on potty training. I can see her being proficient soon with consistency and love.

She is very good with other dogs and seems to trust them well and looks to them for modeling. She loves the outdoors and with some patience on trust, she will be your best hiking companion! She's a little hesitant on putting on a leash but once it's on, she loves a little walking.

She needs someone who can be loving, get to her level and be patient with her little spirit as she is a bit skittish. Her gentleness, calm demeanor and sweetness will melt your heart!

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
