490 (2026) Sven's Story
Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: Litter of 6 (4F, 2M) transferred from 1 Tail At A Time in NM at approximately 6 months old. 1 Tail pulled the litter from a shelter in November and they fell ill with Parvo. Originally a litter of 8, 2 pups did not survive. The rest completed full treatment and received continued vetting until CPR had space to add them to transport.

From the foster: Hello everyone, I am Sven. I came to Colorado last Tuesday. The whole event was rather overwhelming for me and my siblings. I was very shutdown that night, people had to carry me everywhere. I went home with one of the bipedal creatures and he fed me and gave me water. To be honest, I didn't trust him or the big dog in the house. The food and water were okay and I enjoyed stretching my legs in the back yard, so many new smells and they left me alone. That was nice, I needed time to figure out my new situation. I have been treated well but I am still jot sure about interacting with the bipedal. The big dog seems to like him so I am slowly trying to warm up too. He put a leash on me Wednesday and I did not like it, he force me to walk and I made him earn that walk. He said that 2 mile loop takes 35 minutes, I made it an hour struggle session. Thursday he took me again, I decided to try enjoying it, we did it in 40 minutes, he was impressed with my effort and gave me more treats. I think I can get used to these trips outside.
The bipedal thing tries to train me and include me in things but I am just not ready to open up that much. I appreciate the nice bed and treats and the freedom to interact on my terms. This is all new to me and I do not know how long I will be at this location. If the next home is this nice and interested in engaging with me, I think that would be great.

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
