3772b Duke's Story
Meet Duke,

Duke is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart.

This sweet, gentle hound is a little shy when meeting new people and is looking for a patient family willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. Once Duke learns to trust you, you'll discover an incredibly affectionate companion who absolutely loves ear rubs, back scratches, and spending time with his favorite people.

Duke walks nicely on a leash once he's comfortable with his person, and it has been wonderful watching him gain confidence. He's even started playing with toys, showing more and more of his playful side each day. Seeing Duke come out of his shell is truly rewarding.

We believe Duke is housebroken and would thrive in a home with another friendly dog who can help build his confidence and become his best buddy. Duke isn't looking for perfection—just a family that will be patient, understanding, and willing to let him settle in at his own pace.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle soul and so much love to give, Duke may be the perfect addition to your family. He has a heart of gold and is ready to find a home where he can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished.

Come see him today at the Berkeley Campus weekdays 12-3 and weekends 10-5.
