362 (2026) Bonnie's Story
Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

**Bonnie would do best in a home without kids under 10-12 years old, depending on dog-experience. Bonnie lived with her first family for about six months, and there were six young children in the home; Bonnie did nip one of them on the torso, and that was the reason for her being returned. While it was minor, and did not require any medical attention, a calmer home with more predictability for her might prove more successful. Bonnie is tall and doesn't know her size, and will sometimes jump-up, which could knock-over small humans or people unsteady on their feet. Bonnie also has a significant appetite, and will take food from hands that are reachable to her. She eats Hills Science Diet and a couple of brands of treats; deterring too much from her standard diet gives her loose stool, so her family should be willing to stick to her normal diet.

From the foster: Meet Bonnie a sweet energetic girl looking for a furever family to call her own! Bonnie is super sweet and loves her people!

She is very strong and playful, doesn't always know her own strength but always aims to please and listen! She knows basic commands such as sit, lay, down, off and no, , we are still working on stay as well as impulse control and with her size, she's realized she enjoys looking on countertops for things but again listens when you tell her down or no!

She walks very nicely on the leash, absolutely LOVES her tennis balls and stuffed toys. She has mastered performing surgery on them, so the more the merrier! She also loves bones and anything hard that she can chew on! She hasn't once tried to chew on anything that she shouldn't! (your shoes are safe)

She loves to cuddle on the couch or in bed is also kennel trained and has done amazing with the other dog in the house, having the perfect balance of playfulness and respecting boundaries!

Bonnie has all the potential in the world to make an amazing dog and she's well on her way. If not already there she just needs a family that will love her and match her energy and big heart!

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
